The Volkmar Wentzel Collection represents more than one hundred years of photography. Volkmar Wentzel is a photographer and photo historian whose work is internationally recognized.

This online collection combines his personal work as a photographer and writer for the National Geographic Society for nearly fifty years, as well as a selection of early pioneers in photography at the Society, among them Gilbert H. Grosvenor, Luis Marden and Maynard Owen Williams.

Mr. Wentzel's online portfolios include photographs from his Washington by Night, Asia, Africa and Americana collections. Prints are available for sale in various media.
